Migr-AID is in the early stages of development but has grown since the year of its conception thanks to multiple programs that have facilitated its early success.
April 2022
Migr-AID began as a product concept for a final project in an advertising and design class at Loyola University Chicago.
January 2023
Migr-AID was accepted as a member of mHUB's 2023 mPOWER cohort—an entrepreneurial community dedicated to uplifting women and people of color who are the founders of a startup business.
May 2023
While at mHUB, Migr-AID was assessed by a team made up of electrical, mechanical, and industrial design engineers to discuss what a minimal viable prototype may look like.
November 2022
Migr-AID won first place at Loyola University Chicago's first annual New Venture Pitch Competition.
April 2023
Migr-AID was accepted as a client at the Loyola University Chicago Business Law Clinic.
With the assistance of the Business Law Clinic, Migr-Aid, LLC was filed for and approved by the Illinois Secretary of State.
September 2023
Migr-AID's provisional patent was filed. Additionally, Migr-AID was featured in the Illinois Science and Technology Coalition's Illinois Innovation Index University Entrepreneurship report.
